Adam B. Maas – Commercial Risk Manager
Adam joined The Larkin Group in 2012. Adam grew up in the Electrical Utility industry, and worked for a Hydro Electric Facility and Utility for 5 years throughout college. As such, he has a strong passion for the industry and ensuring the business operations and the employees of these entities are protected. His practice has a strong focus on the energy industry as a whole, which includes Utilities and Oil & Gas companies.

Travis T. Beynon, CIC – Principal and Risk Manager
Before joining The Larkin Group in 2015, Travis was a Principal at Shumsky West and Associates for 8 years. Travis’ practice has a key focus on the Energy Industry and he brings years of valuable experience and risk management expertise to those he works with. He specializes in operations with overhead and conduit construction and providing comprehensive program review for utilities and Oil and Gas operations.

Tod Beynon – CIC, LIC
Tod Beynon has been involved in the Oil and Gas/ Energy Insurance business for the past four decades. He has been an agency partner of the original Michigan Oil and Gas Worker’s Compensation Self Insured Fund/Captive and subsequent GAS captive program. His extensive experience allows him to be a resource for his clients for the appropriate insurance coverage for their operations and the knowledge of which markets/insurance companies that can provide comprehensive/ cost effective coverage.

Steve Merten has been a Principal of the Larkin Group since 1992 and has been designing risk management solutions for clients in multiple states for over 25 years. This solutions based approach allows clients in the energy arena to stay focused on their business successes while allowing Steve and his team to assist with risk transfer, contract review, claims mitigation and cost control and coverage analysis.

Bryan L. Formsma – Director of Surety
Bryan is responsible for establishing and managing surety bond programs to mitigate both domestic and global risks of our client base, including a number of significant midwestern infrastructure contractors. Bryan is a Hope College graduate and holds a bachelors degree in business administration. Prior to joining Acrisure, Mr. Formsma was Assistant Vice-President for Marsh & McLennan Companies as well as Surety Bond Underwriter for AIG Chicago.
